Archers: The Archers are coming off an overhaul of an offseason while they prepare for opening weekend. Although holding onto Tom Schreiber, the team suffered the loss of five key players. With this news, the Archers are looking for some returning players to step up. Head coach Chris Bates is hoping to see an improvement in their faceoff game with their first round draft pick Mike Sisselberger, the top faceoff prospect in the class. Despite goalies Brett Dobson and Nick Washuta’s limited pro experience, Bates has high hopes for the protection the defense will provide as they grow to become leaders on the team.

Atlas: The 2023 season brings very interesting headlines for Romar Dennis after winning the scoring title in the Championship Series. Romar is expecting to maintain his performance despite some possible shifts in both playing dynamics and roster. MVP faceoff athlete Trevor

Baptiste will be looking to secure his second and consecutive MVP, setting a great tone for the Atlas early in the season. Fresh blood like Gavin Adler and Xander Dickson are looking to integrate into an already strong roster featuring the likes of Chris Gray and Jeff Teat, bringing a ton of competition to the training camp. As the season opener continues to approach, the Atlas hold promise to be a top team in the league.

Cannons: The Cannons face an interesting season with fresh additions including Marcus Holman and Matt Kavanagh, each bringing experience and skill. The absence of star athlete Lyle Thompson creates a huge gap and question mark on the field. With this, younger players are expected to step up along with rookies to offset the loss of Thompson. Ryan Drenner is prepared to take a bigger role this season, especially in the offense. The team's defense has been reinforced with Adam Ghitelman and LSM Kyle Hartzell, with hopes of improving their foundation. However, questions remain on how quickly this group will develop chemistry. Despite these challenges, the Cannons are gearing up for the 2023 season with optimism and could turn some heads.

Whipsnakes: The Whipsnakes seem to be tuning their roster for the best possible performance.

Their first round pick Tucker Dordevic brings skills which are expected to provide some explosive energy to the offense. The second round saw faceoff athlete Petey LaSalla from Virginia, set to replace Joe Nardella and his knee injury. In the third round, the team drafted Garrett Leadmon from Duke, with experience in both offensive and defensive midfield. Lastly, fourth round pick Elijah Gash from Albany shows a very promising defensive prospect with both his size and athleticism. The Whipsnakes are building their roster to address specific key areas for the upcoming season, and while this may seem like a developing year as they build for a future, we wouldn’t be surprised to see some positive results sooner than later.

Chaos: Chaos training camp has been showing a ton of competition. A mix of some seasoned veterans as well as new talent is setting the stage for tough decisions ahead of both the 25 man and 19 man rosters. Top athletes like Blaze Riorden, Dhane Smith, and Josh Byrne are complemented by impressive rookies like Will Bowen, Brian Minicus, Tye Kurtz, and Nick Rowlett. The face-off spot will be watched closely with Max Adler returning, but facing competition from rookies. The Chaos’ approach to offense leaves several spots up for grabs, posing a very competitive training camp, which can historically be very beneficial. Head Coach Andy Towers has set the tone for a constant battle of an environment, with every player expected to fight for their spot.

Chrome: Chrome’s training camp is promising for an intense season, according to Head Coach Tim Soudan. The team has been focusing on transition skills, adaptation, and fast decision making. Veteran Jackson Morrill has a good hold on the offense, with high-powered Logan Wisnauskas providing elite-level skill and rookie Sam Handley showing off in camp with his advanced knowledge of the game and ability to score 2 pointers. However, the Chrome midfield may face some restructuring with Coach Soudan facing some tough decisions regarding the new shot clock rules which will force fewer substitutions as will require midfielders to play both ends. The team is likely to make more changes with upcoming scrimmages including Redwoods LC on Tuesday. New rules are most definitely set to impact their roster decisions.

Redwoods: The Redwoods team is continuing to build on their line up for the upcoming season by adding athletes like BJ Farrare and Matt Kilkeary to their training camp roster. Farrare will play next to John Sexton, adding some depth to the team's defense. On the other hand, Matt Kilkeary, known for his impressive save percentage at the University of Delaware, is set to lead the squad's defense. This came as the team re-evaluated their 30-man roster due to Eli McLaughlin's and Ryan Lee's commitments with their NLL teams. The current Redwoods roster is very well rounded, coming into opening week with what head coach St. Laurent has called a very promising season.

Waterdogs: The Waterdogs are looking at a huge transition after the retirement of star shooter Ryan Brown. The team is looking at several potential replacements, with shooters like Jake Carraway and Charlie Kitchen at the top of the list. Carraway, a free agent with a great rookie season, is in position to replace Brown. On the other hand, Kitchen's offensive skills and potential for growth could bring some different energy to the team's attack. Other impressive athletes include Marcus Holman, an experienced goal-scorer, and Jay Carlson, known for his finishing abilities. As the Waterdogs navigate this period of transition, they stay committed to protecting their legacy. With these potential changes, they seem well prepared to handle the upcoming season.
