Gait is out here re-inventing the wheel; and its working. The new Gait D head has an innovative structure that has never been seen before in the sport of lacrosse. At the top of the sidewalls, Gait built in “can-opener” hooks. These hooks are a pioneering technology that aims to increase ball dislodgement.
We’ll admit we did have our reservations on this one. We weren’t too convinced these hooks would be effective. We were also worried about ball control, with the wide design of the head, we thought the ball might move around more than players would be comfortable with. However, after stringing some of these bad boys up, playing around with them, and hearing back from our customers, we’ve seen nothing but satisfaction. The Gait D truly introduced a new function to the game without affecting the already established utility that a standard head allows. With the additional surface area and shape these hooks provide, you’ll see more effective checks and an increased ability to strip your opponent of possession.
