Check out our staff picks for this upcoming week!

Who are you riding with? Who are you fading? Feel free to let us know!

We have been spoiled since the beginning of the season with some incredible lacrosse games, and all we ask is that this momentum keeps on rolling. We’ve got games all throughout the week for this upcoming slate and they should all be great games, including 5 games between top 20 teams as we head into the weekend; but there truly are 4 strong games that jump off the schedule to us:

#4 Notre Dame  vs #3 Georgetown (+1.5, O/U 24.5) 2/26 1pm

How does a top 5 matchup sound this early in the season? Notre Dame had a tune up game against Detroit Mercy this weekend, and will now venture on in a legitimate battle against an elite Hoya squad. Both Chris and Pat Kavanagh had incredible games, and we’re interested in seeing who Will Bowen matches up with. This is as close of a match as you will find, and we’re excited to see which way this one goes.

#2 Virginia vs #9 Syracuse (+4.5, O/U 28.5) 2/26 12pm

Syracuse has the week to get over the loss to Maryland and prepare for just as tough of an opponent in Virginia. A trip down to Charlottesville after a close game to the #1 Terps isn’t ideal for anyone, but this will be a true test for the Orange, and we don’t expect them to go into this one hanging their heads. These two teams should keep it up-tempo and have shots firing all game. There are some big question marks going into this game though: Is Matt Moore playing? If not, how is Syracuse going to get the rest of their offense involved? We’ll be monitoring this closely, but most likely won’t have these answers until the team steps out on the field this Saturday.

#7 Duke vs #11 Penn (+3.5, O/U 26.5) 2/26 12pm

Another big opportunity for the Quakers this weekend to prove they are here to stay. They had a hard fought battle with Georgetown in their first game back since the beginning of COVID. The Quakers are going to be looking to bring more energy to their game against Duke, being led by Sam Handley, and going against former teammate Sean Lulley. This will be Duke’s second game of the week as they come off a game Tuesday against Delaware. Will this hurt them or is there sufficient time between games to recover and gameplan for Penn? Will this serve as a statement game for Duke as they aim to set on a win-streak and not look back since their loss to Jacksonville?

#10 UNC vs #13 Johns Hopkins (+3, O/U 25) 2/27 2pm

This is a big game for both teams. Hopkins is looking to continue taking down their big opponents and climb the rankings, so people stop overlooking them as contenders. For UNC, this is a big game to get the team back on track after the Buckeyes put 20 up on them in a blowout win. This will be a big game  for the young guys on UNC to get more involved, and play some high level lax, as they are going to have to work as a team so Chris Gray doesn’t have to be the only hope for the Heels to win. Keep an eye out for UNLTD Athletes Connor DeSimone, Joey Epstein and Chris Gray in this top-talent bout!
