We’ve got a packed weekend, with some big games queued up, and we’re all over our picks this week. We’ve got Dakota in first with Pete fading him (for seemingly no reason).  We’ve got Chris and Tubes contending at the top in a close race. Rob has officially dropped out – probably because he was in last – but luckily newbie Joe Madsen is stepping in and taking his place. See our picks below and let us know who you’re riding with!!

Game-wise, there’s some in-state rivalry games midweek, as well as some more great matchups as we head into the weekend. If you can’t follow everything, here are the games at the top of our radar:

UNC vs Denver (+3, O/U 27.5) Saturday, 12pm

Denver needs to get back on track this week, and UNC will be looking to stay on their current track. Denver has had a shaky start to say the least, and now they are coming off a tough loss to Jacksonville. It’s starting to look like UNC is finding their groove on this two game winning streak after a bounce back from a bad loss to Ohio State. Turnovers have been the Pioneers’ kryptonite, so they’ll need to clean it up against this elite UNC team. UNC leads the head to head matchup between these programs 12-7, with the largest margin of victory being last year, when UNC won 24-13; a game where Chris Gray had 6 goals.

Maryland vs Notre Dame (+2, O/U 20.5) Saturday, 2pm

This is a great benchmark game for Notre Dame. Coming off a loss to Georgetown where the Hoya’s were able to take what they wanted against this defense, and where they were not able to get the Kavanaugh brothers going, the Irish are looking for a lot of improvement this week. You can bet that Maryland is going to show up and play their usual game. The #1 ranked Terps will be a real test for this Notre Dame team who don’t want to start a losing streak.

Virginia vs Johns Hopkins (+5.5, O/U 27.5) Saturday, 1pm

This is going to be a similar game to what Notre Dame-Maryland will be. Hopkins is being given a huge opportunity to set course, bounce back, and prove to everyone why they should still be alive toward the end of the season. Virginia rolled past Syracuse and will be looking to do the same again. Hopkins is 42-21 in the all-time matchup, with their last game in 2019 being a UVA win in a 16-11 game. The matchup has seen a total of 746 goals, and an average of 11.84 goals per game, but we’re expecting a high-powered shootout in this one.
