College lacrosse is on the horizon, and I’m sure you are just as excited about it as we are. The big plays, the upsets, and every up and down that the season brings. The talent this year is off the charts, and we are looking forward to watching how everything unfolds in May. With that being said, here is our list of top players to watch for the upcoming 2022 NCAA season.

Chris Gray- Grad Student, Attack, UNC

Chris was arguably the best player in college lacrosse in 2021, and 2022 is going to be his chance to turn that into a clear cut observation that won’t be up for discussion. Chris is a quarterback with the ball, being able to dissect defenses with his knowledge of when to attack, and when to get his teammates involved. We know that the UNLTD athlete is ready to rock and roll his way through 2022 and bring the Tar Heels to Memorial Day weekend.

Brennan O’Neill- Sophomore, Attack, Duke

We were all witnesses last year to O’Neill’s electric freshman campaign with the Blue Devils. Brennan led Duke, and was top 5 in the entire country with 45 goals last year. He was the top rated recruit, and he certainly showed us why.  There is no doubt that the flashy lefty is going to be putting some more defenders on his 2022 highlight tape this upcoming season.

Logan Wisnauskas- Grad Student, Attack, Maryland

Another lights out lefty making the list for us.  Anyone wearing the number 1 at Maryland deserves some recognition. Good luck to all the goalies out there trying to stop this man’s shot. Logan Wisnauskas is the next man up to don the 1 for the Terps this year. Taking over for Jared Bernhardt won’t be easy, but Wisnauskas is ready for that challenge. Logan finished the season last year with 72 points, placing him 6th in the country. Maryland is a well-oiled machine, and we are ready to see how they have fine-tuned and are going to perform this year.

Pat Kavanagh- Junior, Attack, Notre Dame

A Tewaaraton finalist as a Sophomore, Pat Kavanagh took the NCAA by storm last year. No one was truly expecting for him to take over the way that he did as only a sophomore. Racking up 64 points, with 26 goals and 38 assists Kavanagh was the engine that made Notre Dame run last year. Kavanagh is a player who would rather get an assist than score the goal. Make no mistake, he will still light you up if you don’t play him like a scorer. Pat was able to break down defenses and make them question what they were doing with the type of ball movement and goals Notre Dame had, mostly starting with Kavanagh. We are looking forward to see him repeat this performance, and hopefully exceed those expectations he has now set for himself.

Matt Moore- Grad Student, Attack, Virginia

Our second UNLTD athlete to make the list. This UVA attack line is going to be exciting, but scary for the opposing teams. Matt Moore is on a mission to cement his legacy with the Cavaliers program. Moore is a versatile player, being able to make plays from in front of the net as well as from X. Defenses will have to pick their poison to try and slow down Moore. Moore has always been a balanced player in terms of stats. In his career at UVA, Matt Moore has been able to score 117 goals, while also having 108 assists. The 300 point club must be a goal for him and we are excited to see him make his way there.
