The Premier Lacrosse League released the second half of their venue schedule today, giving us the full breakdown of where they will be traveling. They will be primarily on the East Coast this season, visiting 8 different venues in this region. There will be games played in the Midwest and on the West Coast, including Seattle, Washington for the first time!

The season consists of 10 regular season weeks (not including ASG) starting the first weekend of June, and ending towards the end of August. The playoffs start in the beginning of September and will end on the 9/18, with the championship game being at Subaru Park in Philadelphia this year.

Let’s get into the schedule!

June 4-5: Tom and Mary Casey Stadium, UAlbany

The season gets started up in Albany, NY at the Tom and Mary Casey Stadium. Last year, we saw a sold out crowd last year to cheer on all of the Great Dane alumni and the PLL is looking to get the same attraction back this year.

June 10-11: American Legion Stadium- Charlotte, North Carolina

The next stop on the PLL tour brings us to Charlotte, North Carolina. This is the stadium where the Charlotte Hounds used to play their home games, so in a way this stop is paying tribute to the MLL. Currently, American Legion Stadium is home to the Charlotte Independence, a United Soccer League team.

June 17-18 James M. Shuart Stadium, Hofstra University

One could argue that there is nothing quite like watching lacrosse at Shuart Stadium at Hofstra University. This has been the location for the NCAA quarterfinals for some time now. You get a packed house, great lacrosse, and an incredible fan base in Long Island. Plus, it is a homecoming weekend for many of the players in the league so it should be a great week all around.

June 24-25 Homewood Field, Johns Hopkins University

The PLL is going back to their first ever sell-out venue. After the Long Island homecoming, it’s time for the Maryland guys to get some love. Homewood Field is another iconic college lacrosse venue, and it sold out for the PLL in 2019, showing just how much love lacrosse gets in this area.

July 1-2 TCO Stadium, Minneapolis, MN

The PLL is making their return here after playing here in 2021. The PLL will be heading up to the Vikings practice field to have another action packed weekend before taking a break and prepping for the All-Star Game.

July 16 PLL All-Star Game, Gillete Stadium, Foxborough, MA

What a great place to have the All-Star game this year. After playing out in San Jose, California last year, the PLL is bringing it back to where it all started. Gillette Stadium has some great ties with the PLL, being not only the location for the PLL’s inaugural games, but also the home stadium for the New England Patriots, whose head coach is a huge lacrosse fan.

July 23-24 Rafferty Stadium, Fairfield University

Following the All-Star game, the PLL makes its way up to Connecticut for the first time in the league’s history. We should see a great weekend of lacrosse here, as some players will be coming off almost 3 weeks of rest, and it is the debut visit for an up and coming lacrosse hot spot.

July 30-31 Ford Center at The Star, Frisco, TX

The venture toward the west coast begins, starting out in Frisco, Texas at The Star Ford Center. The Ford Center has hosted many lacrosse games in its recent history, and they have been a great venue every single time. Jerry World will continue to cross paths with the PLL as the sport grows exponentially fast in Texas.

August 5-6 Peter Barton Stadium, Univeristy of Denver

After the trip to big Texas, we head North West a little bit to Colorado and find the University of Denver: A college program that has helped expand the game of lacrosse tremendously in the region. They have a great stadium that is going to perfect for the PLL weekend.

August 12-13 Zions Bank Stadium, Salt Lake City, Utah

After Denver, the PLL heads to its neighbor Utah where Zions Bank Stadium will host, and this is a place the PLL is readily familiar with. The PLL had their bubble season at Zions Bank back when COVID took the world by storm. This year it will be filled with fans and not cardboard cutouts, so we will get the full PLL effect.

August 20-21 Tacoma Dome, Seattle, Washington

To wrap up the season, the PLL is heading to a new location: Seattle, Washington. Yes, the PLL is heading all the way up to Washington to play some lacrosse. We’re going to see a lot more of this moving forward as the PLL works to expand the game, and we’re all on board and excited!

Playoff Schedule

Quarterfinals: September 3 Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Mass.

Semifinals: September 11 Audi Field, Washington D.C.

Championship: September 18 Subaru Park, Philadelphia, PA.
