There were definitely some surprises in the opening week of the PLL. The Atlas dismantled the Redwoods 17-11, the Chrome completed a huge upset on the Archers, Lyle Thompson is still Lyle Thompson, and the Whips were in a close one against the Chaos after a stellar game from Blaze Riorden. So, buckle up everybody because this season is going to get heated with competition. Looking back at the picks from week 1, we’ll admit to being a little rusty. But hey, everyone needs a warm up – even the pros. This week and moving forward, we’re calling out our official picks. So dial in, and get ready for some sweeps across the board.

Redwoods vs Chrome June 10 6pm ESPN+ (+1.5, O/U 23.5)

Pick: Chrome +1.5

The Redwoods and Chrome get the weekend started with a 7pm Friday game. This game will be interesting because we have a veteran Redwoods team going against this newly formed Chrome team that looked great against the Archers. Tim Troutner and Jack Kelly were not seeing the ball well, and it showed as they combined for only 5 saves in the opening game. The Chrome showed everyone that they have a new identity and are looking to fight all season long and that is why we’re taking the Chrome +1.5. The game comparison leans too heavily in favor of the Chrome to pass up on their underdog value.

Archers vs Chaos June 10 8:45pm ESPN+  (+1.5, O/U 22.5)

Pick: Chaos +1.5

Both teams are heading into Charlotte looking for their first win on Friday night, but only one team can get that win. The Archers looked lost offensively without Grant Ament on the field. Undrafted rookie and UNLTD athlete Connor DeSimone had a great game getting 4 points on 2 goals and 2 assists. Tom Schrieber was held to just one assist on the day as Nick Grill locked him down for the entire game. The Archers can have an outstanding offense as we know, but if they aren’t in motion together it won’t work. The Chaos on the other hand, even though they lost the game, looked solid. Faceoffs continue to be a problem for them, but going against rookie Inacio should help them out in that category. If Grant Ament is not playing this week, take the Chaos +1.5. Ghitleman looked shaky, and the Chrome attack combined for 8 points. Too keep adding on, the entire Chaos offense plays with an attackman style, so it will be interesting to see how the Archers are able to adjust to this.

Atlas vs Cannons June 11 6pm ESPN2 (+2.5 O/U 24.5)

Pick: Over 24.5

Going off of performances from week 1, this is going to be the game of the week. Lyle Thompson put up 6 goals last weekend, and Nick Marrocco had a great game, pulling in 19 saves for a 66% save percentage. The Cannons won the faceoff battle by just two, and their defense only had 5 caused turnovers against the Waterdogs. Then we have the Atlas who pretty much dominated every statistical category. Eric Law and Jeff Teat both put up 7 points which is crazy. The 2.5 points being given is great value for the Cannons if you are a fan. But, we keep thinking about how loaded this Atlas roster is so we’re not seeing 2.5 as a safe pick either way. So, we’re going to go with over 24.5 goals even though it’s a hesitant pick.

Whipsnakes vs Waterdogs June 11 ESPN+ (+1.5, O/U 23.5)

Pick: Whipsnakes -1.5

The Waterdogs struggled to get going last weekend as Matt DeLuca was only able to save 38% of the shots that came his way. The Whipsnakes found themselves in a close battle against Chaos that came down to the last seconds before swinging in their favor. On paper, and after seeing the results of last week 1, the Whips just seem to have the better roster. We expect them to dominate both offensively and defensively, even if Zed Williams still isn’t out on the field with that high powered offense. Taking the Whips -1.5 seems to be the obvious play here.

Always Custom Parlay

Now we’re going to go back through and create a parlay of all the games that we have coming up this weekend for those that like to win a lot.

Even though we said Chrome spread is the move, we’re putting Chrome vs Redwoods over 23.5 points, the next play is going to be Chaos +1.5 like we discussed above it’s the safe pick. The third pick is going to be the over 24.5 in Atlas vs Cannons, and the last play is Whipsnakes -1.5. Only one pick that wasn’t in the previews above but we have to try and get this parlay, everyone knows how tricky they can be.

+1262 odds, $20 wins $227.46
