In week 2, we saw teams start to get back to their identity, and certain expectations coming into this season were re-assured, while others continue to be completely remodeled. The Redwoods are still working on getting back to their high-powered, competitive nature, and the Chrome have defied expectations with a new identity and are 2-0 so far this year. Archers had a huge bounce back game against the Chaos. Atlas is still lighting teams up like it’s a scrimmage, and the Whipsnakes snuck out a win in overtime against the Waterdogs. There’s still an entire season for everything to shift, and we’re here for it.

Last week we ended up going 1-3, but to be fair 2 of the losses were VERY close. We cashed in big time with the Chrome +1.5 vs the Redwoods. The Chaos seemed to keep crawling back into it, but once it came down to desperation time, the Archers capitalized and covered the -1.5 spread in their favor. The Atlas vs Cannons O24.5 pick really broke our souls.  With a final score of 18-6, we missed the over by half a point. Talk about a real heartbreak. You live and die by the half point. Our last pick of the weekend was the Whipsnakes spread against the Waterdogs. The Dogs took the Snakes to overtime, so the Whispnakes came out with a 1-point W, missing the -1.5 spread. Another heartbreak.  As you can imagine, the Always Custom Parlay did not win either, so that leaves us in the perfect position to bounce back.

Chrome vs Waterdogs (+1.5, O/U 22.5) Friday June 17 ESPN+

Pick: Chrome -1.5, Over 22.5

We’re feeling a little froggy, and have two official plays here for this game. Initial thoughts are the Chrome spread at -1.5 with +125 odds - getting you a little bang for your buck.  The Chrome are undefeated and seem to be the team to watch at this point. The second pick, over 22.5 for this game looks spicy.  Both teams are averaging right around 11-12 goals a game. If the Chrome continue their great play and the Waterdogs have a decent day this seems like a sure play.

Atlas vs Whipsnakes (+1.5, O/U 24.5) Friday June 17 8:45pm ESPN+

Pick: Whispnakes +1.5

It’s not hard to see that the Whipsnakes are struggling to find an offensive flow. Zed Williams not being available has been a big reason for their problems. At the same time, the Atlas haven’t had a solid offensive unit, but we are starting to see flashes this year. Sure, they have great defensive players, but are still averaging 15 goals against, and have yet to really come together as a complete defense. Contrarily, the Whipsnakes have a complete defensive unit, which we think will be the deciding factor in this matchup. We think the first 2 weeks were a buffer period for this snakes offense, and they’ll find a rhythm in this one, finding the ability to cover that +1.5 spread.

Redwoods vs Chaos (+1.5 O/U 22.5) Saturday June 18 1pm ABC

Pick: Chaos +1.5

Both the Woods and Chaos are looking for their first win of the season. The Chaos are still missing a bunch of contributing players because of the NLL Finals. Even with the absences, the Chaos are still looking solid. Sure, they lost both games, but they were close losses and could have gone their way with a few more plays. The Redwoods on the other hand are having some major problems all around. They were held to just 3 goals against the chrome, and have let up a combined 19 goals in the first two games. The worst part is that they aren’t missing any guys like the Chaos are. Looking at how the teams have performed after two weeks, we favor the Chaos +1.5. The faceoff matchup scares us a little bit with TD Lerlan going against Thomas Kelly, but we expect the Chaos to take care of business in all other areas out on the field.

Archers vs Cannons (+1.5, O/U 24.5) Satuday June 18 ESPN+

Pick: Over 24.5/Archers -1.5

This pick is contingent on whether or not Lyle Thompson is playing in the game. If he is not suiting up, then we are going with Archers-1.5. The Cannons put up 16 goals in the first game, and only 8 in the second without Lyle. There’s no doubt the Cannons struggled without him and will be counting down the days until he’s back. Adam Ghitleman, the Archers goalie, hasn’t been too impressive so far. He’s been very inconsistent and looks to be letting in goals that he should be saving. Nick Marrocco has been having a pretty solid year, but we think both offenses hit this over nicely, contingent on them being at full strength.

Always Custom Parlay

+1291 odds $20 wins $278.27

Chrome -1.5|Whipsnakes +1.5| Chaos +1.5|Cannons vs Archers Over 24.5

We’re keeping it simple and choosing all of the picks for the individual games into the Always Custom parlay. We got knocked out after the first game last week, we’ll see if we can make it a little bit further this time around.
