We get why you’d stay away from gambling. It can be dangerous, addictive, and stressful. It’s not for everyone. But hey, maybe you still have that fun, competitive nature and want a way to engage and participate in a no-risk way. The PLL has that to offer. The PLL offers a weekly fantasy game that lets you select a player at every position and compete against your friends. The trick is, you can’t just stack your lineup with the best players week in and week out. There are tier rankings, and restrictions to which tiers you must pick from. You really gotta think week in and week out. Matchups are the key to winning your week, so you have to find which lower tier player will be able to break out and expose a weakness in their opponent. Here’s what we’re seeing for this upcoming week:

Attack

Jeff Teat, Atlas Tier 1

This might seem like a front runner pick, but we’re going to stick with Jeff Teat after his insane 7 point game in the opening weekend. After 5 goals and 2 assists for the weekend, he’ll be looking to have a repeat performance. The Cannons forced a couple caused turnovers in their first game but we think Teat will be able to play his game and rack up even more points in week 2.

Midfield

Tom Schrieber, Archers Tier 3

Schrieber didn’t have his best game last week where he only tallied one assist. But, this is a new week and the Archers are facing a new opponent. He won’t have to worry about Nick Grill being all over him, but this week he’ll have to deal with Troy Reh/CJ Costabile, which in our opinion is a much more favorable opponent than Nick Grill, and many would probably agree. The Archers also know what they have to work on without Ament being in the lineup. We should see the ball in Tom’s stick more, with him looking to be more aggressive.

Defense

Mike Ehrhardt, Whipsnakes Tier 2

This was a simple pick for us, which means this will probably backfire, but oh well. Ehrhardt is a beast on the field and we expect for him to show that off against the Waterdogs. He had a caused turnover and 2 groundballs against the Chaos. We see him getting a couple CT’s and a good amount of groundballs this weekend.

Face-off

Trevor Baptiste, Atlas Tier 1

Trevor Baptiste beat TD Lerlan last week in the faceoff battle, and the next guy he’ll go against is Stephen Kelly. We think this faceoff battle will actually have a huge say in who is going to win this game. Baptiste went 17-28 with 8 groundballs and 3 points. We think you want this guy on your squad getting you some extra points throughout the game.

Goalie

Sean Sconone, Chrome Tier 2

Sconone had a great first game of the season. He saw some time last year, but this is the first year he’ll be the guy for the Chrome. Sconone tallied 11 saves with a 52% save percentage. His frame helps give shooters a problem finding somewhere they can beat him. He’s got a similar frame to Blaze Riorden in that he is a big body but can move as quick as anyone out there. So, these guys are really going to have to take good shots. Which, the Redwoods weren’t really able to do in week 1. We think Sconone can continue to give the Redwoods trouble and have another solid outing.
