USA Lacrosse Magazine came out with their Preseason awards this year, and we are proud to say that 7 of our 11 UNLTD athletes were named as preseason all-Americans. The UNLTD family had two first teamers, three on the second team, and two on the third team.
Chris Gray and Kasey Choma are our two first team all-Americans. Chris is looking to have another phenomenal year at UNC to close out his college lacrosse chapter. Meanwhile, Kasey is just getting started entering into her sophomore year at Notre Dame. We are excited to watch these two, as Chris tries to add a final exclamation point to his career, and Kasey works to continue her already elite resume.
The second team features Matt Moore, Belle Smith, and Sam Swart. Matt is looking to have a great last season, which would result in unbelievable back-to-back-to-back championship seasons. Matt can also join the 300 point club this year with the Cavaliers. This is Sam Swart’s last season with the Orange, and the Orange are not going to go down without a fight. Belle Smith isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Entering only her sophomore season after earning ACC Rookie of the year, we are expecting a big follow up performance to such a prolific rookie year. People are saying to be careful of Charlotte North, but we would keep our eyes on Belle Smith if we were her opponent.
On the third team we have Aurora Cordingley, and Brendan Curry. Both athletes are entering their final year of college lacrosse. Aurora will be a leading player to watch at Maryland, as will Curry at Syracuse. We’re excited for both of them to compete in their own respective last dances.
