NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Season Recap 2024
Well, just like that the 2024 NCAA lacrosse season has wrapped up. The season was entertaining to say the least. We saw a lot of teams come out of nowhere to prove they are a top team, and other top teams that stayed up top all year long but had to battle for their spot.

The focus of the 2024 season has to be the National Champions, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish led by Pat and Chris Kavanagh and Liam Entenmann in the net. Notre Dame was an unstoppable force all year, every player knew what their role was and executed the way they needed to. The Irish had a couple close games, but there was no one that could truly take down the defending champions who are now back-to-back champions.

We were also able to witness some incredible seasons from a lot of players this year. Let’s start with the points leader for Division 1, Matt Brandau the attackman from Yale University. Brandau was literally unstoppable this year, tallying 101 points on 44 goals and 57 assists. Payton Cormier also set a couple of records, both at the NCAA level and for his university. Cormier throughout his years at UVA, was able to score 224 goals as a Cavalier. Payton Cormier is now the all-time career goals leader for the NCAA and in Virginia Lacrosse.
