"The lower protection that Velcros on is useless. That being said, it fits good, is comfortable, and allows for movement. Size medium fits my 10 yo 100 lb son. If you’re looking for protection below the belly, I’d lean towards the Maverick."

"The 600 is solid, it is unfortunate we had to upgrade from the 500 for no big apparent changes other than a small sticker certification. I know everyone says the heart pad is more robust. . . I am not convinced there is much if any difference. Regardless - STX provides solid equipment to protect my goalies!"
