Per usual, we’ve got our weekly picks in and we’re ready to ride. Chris took sole possession of 1st place this week, as Dakota slipped back and is now tied up with Matty Tube Locks. Pete’s #FadeDakota campaign paid off this week as he catapulted to 3rd place, while our fearless leader and big dog Joe D. had a rough week falling to 5th place. Joe M. came out hot in his debut, jumping from last to 4th. Poor Frank, kid’s going to have to pick it up if he wants to get out of last! We’ve also had an additional pick for the Women’s Loyola V Florida game in honor of International Women’s Day being this week! Who are you riding with?

This season has been a rollercoaster if we’ve ever seen one. We’ve had a TON of big-time, unexpected upsets – and we’re pumped as we head into week 6. As teams are starting to head into the more competitive parts of their schedule, we’re not sure what to expect. We’ll be staying on our toes as every game becomes more important, and teams are looking to roll as we get closer to Memorial Day.

Notre Dame vs Ohio State (+2.5 O/U 27) Saturday, March 12th 1pm

This is a bounce back game for both teams. Notre Dame is coming off two straight losses to Georgetown and Maryland, where we saw the Kavanagh brothers get held to only a couple points in both games. Ohio State is coming off a loss to Cornell and they will be looking to get back on track. Jack Myers was held to just a single goal in their loss, so the Big Red will be looking to get him going. Keep an eye on these defenses though; they might sneakily control this game.

Yale vs Denver (+1.5 O/U 25.5) Sunday, March 13th 1pm

This should be a great game no doubt, two legendary coaches with high-caliber teams going at it. Denver hasn’t been able to get a win over the big names this season, so they’ll be looking to break that streak this weekend. Yale is looking to show the world that they are just getting started. Matt Brandau on Yale and JJ Sillstrop of Denver are the respective point leaders, so expect a big game from them. Jack Hannah is also due for a big game after the shooting woes he’s been dealing with this season.

Johns Hopkins vs Syracuse (+1.5 O/U 26.5) Sunday, March 13th 4pm

This is a huge game for both sides. We have Dave Pietramala returning to Homewood for the first time since he departed Johns Hopkins. Expect both teams to be fired up about making a statement in his homecoming. Syracuse is 0-1 on the road so far this year from their loss to UVA. Hopkins is looking to get back on track after dropping two straight to UNC and Virginia – despite the fact that they are 2 top-10 opponents. Hopkins has played a tough schedule, including their first loss of the season to Georgetown. If Hopkins can get a win this Sunday, it’ll be huge for their resume come the end of the season. The all-time matchup is a tight race, with Hopkins leading the series 20-19, with an average of 12 goals per game. In the last ten matchups, Hopkins has gone 4-6.
