The Tewaaraton Award is awarded to one woman and one man in college lacrosse, designating them as the best player in their respective sports from that year. At the beginning of each season, the Tewaaraton Foundation will release its initial watch list for who is being considered for the award.

We are proud to say that eight of our UNLTD athletes have been named to that list. The list has 50 of the best names in college lacrosse right now. The foundation will release two more lists as the season goes on, from which players will be both dropped and added. Then, at the end of the season it will be cut down to 25 names.

On the women’s watch list, we have Kasey Choma (3 goals), a junior midfielder out of Notre Dame; Aurora Cordingley (5 goals) the graduate student attacker for Maryland; Kelsey Huff (3 goals), 5th year midfielder for USC, and Belle Smith (3 goals) the sophomore midfielder for the defending national champions over at Boston College.

For the men’s watch list, Syracuse midfielder Brendan Curry (4 goals, 2 assists) starts us off; next is Johns Hopkins attackman Connor DeSimone (5 goals, 6 assists), followed by Chris Gray (7 goals, 5 assists) who is probably the favorite for the award out of UNC. Lastly, we have Virginia attackman Matt Moore (4 goals, 3 assists).

We are ecstatic about this college lacrosse season, and are looking forward to seeing the season play out and the additional names being added to that list. We anticipate more of our UNLTD athletes to be added to this list as they continue to excel throughout the season, and we also expect our current athletes on the list to maintain their spots. Best of luck to each and every one of you!
