We’ve always preached that our mission is much bigger than the game of lacrosse, and through our LU Foundation, we try to find every opportunity to give back to the community using the platform that lacrosse has given us. This brought us to our first annual LU Golf Outing, hosted by Wind Watch Golf & Country Club in Hauppauge, NY.
This event brought together 104 golfers and 132 total people in attendance. LU teamed up with Team Impact, who matches children facing serious illness and disability with college sports teams to create relationships and raise awareness. Since launching their program, Team Impact has created 2,656 partnerships between kids and programs, across 743 different campuses in all 50 states. With this outing, the LU Foundation has been able to raise $10K total in donation funds to help Team Impact continue their mission!
