This is a great offensive drill to do with your team. You have a line of attackmen on each side of the cage, and a line of midfielders above the restraining line. It’s really up to you which position you want to start with the ball, and you can change it up as you wish, but for the sake of explaining we will imagine the attackmen are starting with the ball.

A1 & A2 each have a ball. A1 will go first, and then when they and their corresponding middie have completed their turn, A2 and their corresponding middie will go. A1 will split dodge and run to the side opposite of their starting position. A1 will split right to left and A2 will split left to right split. As they are coming around the crease A1 & A2 will pass the ball to the middies that are cutting towards them.

M1 & M2 will jab step to the outside to fake the ghost defender after catching the pass from their attackmen, and cut across the middle. M1 will be catching, and shooting on the run quickly with his right hand. M2 will be catching, and shooting on the run lefty. This will teach your players to shoot on the run quickly while cutting through crease above the restricted area.

Now, let’s flip it. M1 and M2 will start with the ball and A1 and A2 will be shooting.

M1 will be doing a left to right split and sweep to the middle of the field. M2 will be doing a right to left split to his middle of the field. They are now both sweeping across.

A1 will cut to the lefty sneak spot on the backside goalpost. A2 will be cutting to the righty sneak spot, same way the arrow is going when it is their respective turn to take a rep.

As soon as the middies see A1 and A2 curl around the crease, they fire the pass in to the backside, and then the attackmen catch and finish.

You want these reps to be full speed. It’s okay to start slow while the players are getting a hold of the fundamentals if they are beginners, but you want to work toward all dodges being at a sprint, and the passes to be hard and direct like they would be in a game. Never forget, how you practice is how you play.
